Shipping & Returns


Leather Braiding by John accepts Credit Cards and PayPal via their respective payment service accounts integrated into the website. When paying by PayPal, your purchase will be charged to your account or card at the time of purchase and your statement will show a purchase from IdeaMakers Designs, LLC. LBbyJ accepts VISA, MASTERCARD And DISCOVER Card payments via the ProPay interface securely integrated into the website. Your purchase will be charged to your card when your item ships and your credit card statement will show a purchase from IdeaMakers Designs, LLC. LBbyJ does not keep credit card information on file nor is your complete information stored in a single location while your order is being processed. Every effort is made to keep your information safe.


Ready to Ship Items
All items sold as ready to ship will be sent within 24 hours of receiving your order and payment.

Custom Braided Items
All custom braided products presented on LBbyJ are custom made to your style, size and color selections. Being custom made your purchase will ship within one week of purchase on most items, dog items usually ship within two weeks. During the holiday periods your purchase may take longer depending on how many orders have been placed. I always contact my customers after each purchase to confirm their order and to give an estimated ship date. During the holidays (Christmas, Valentines Day, Fathers Day ....) please order early to insure a timely delivery.

Leather Braiding by John offers several options for shipping your purchase via USPS.

  • Flat Rate (USPS First Class Mail: 3 to 5 days for delivery): $3.50 per order.
  • Flat Rate Priority: (USPS Priority Mail: 2 to 3 days for delivery): $7.50 per order.
  • (The delivery times above are taken from the USPS website and I can not guarantee that your item will be delivered within this time frame. Once it is out of my hands it is out of my control.)

Most items are sent with Delivery Confirmation to confirm delivery to you. If you have questions about the status of processing or shipping on your order, feel free to email me at LBbyJ@ideamakers.com. While I attempt to offer a fair shipping price and as many options as possible, not every possibility can be covered. In the event of a gross shipping miscalculation I will contact you in advance of your order being created.

Sorry but International shipping is no longer available. International orders now require a export declaration fee of $90 (USD) added to them. I've grown my braiding business a little to big, since I bring hides directly from Australia and I'm now importing more hides then one could use for personal use, I've had to purchase a commercial import permit from US Fish and Wildlife. Unfortunately when I sell pieces outside the US I have to also declare that I'm exporting and this is where the $90 fee comes in. Nothing to do with endangered species or international treaties just an added cost of business as the business continues to grow.

Unfortunately customers have tried to skirt the above no shipping internationally clause by having items delivered in the US and having a friend pick them up. I will not refund or replace pieces that are taken overseas in this manor. I am unable to mail you a replacement piece and since you are breaking the law I cannot beheld responsible.

Washington State residents are subject to a 8.7% sales tax (Spokane County). All International Shipments are subject to their respective countries VAT taxes. Customs forms are filled out accurately and it is the customers responsibility to pay all customs and VAT taxes.

Your satisfaction is very important if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item(s) within 14 days from the date received for a full refund. All items must be received in original condition and accompanied by a sales receipt. You will be refunded for cost of the item including shipping, handling and insurance costs. If you wish to return an item, please drop an e-mail to LBbyJ@ideamakers.com so that I may expect your return. Please pack the item carefully in its original packaging materials so that it arrives undamaged. I cannot accept for return an item that arrives to me from you damaged in transit. For your protection, please send all returns via a track-able carrier.

No Returns on international orders, none, zero, don't bother asking.
